Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)

Applied Research and the Advancement of Managerial Thought

An academic-practice-oriented program designed for experienced executives, entrepreneurs, and researchers who seek to deepen their expertise in applied research and the development of managerial thought.

Unlike MBA and EMBA programs, the DBA places primary emphasis not only on mastering practical management tools but also on generating original research-based solutions that contribute to management theory and enhance business practice. The program is suited for those who are prepared to address complex strategic challenges through methodologically rigorous research and to implement innovations in real-world managerial contexts.

The DBA focuses on developing advanced competencies in conducting in-depth scholarly and applied research: formulating research questions, selecting appropriate analytical methods, interpreting findings, and translating them into corporate practice. Participants explore contemporary approaches to studying organizational phenomena, strategic management, leadership, change, and sustainable development. The program is centered on individual research projects aimed at solving pressing issues within specific organizations or industries.

The culmination of the program is the defense of a doctoral dissertation that demonstrates a meaningful contribution to managerial thought and practice. DBA degrees are particularly valued by professionals aspiring to leadership in consulting, academia, corporate strategy development, or the advancement of innovative initiatives.
